On behalf of the show committee can I apologise for any inconvenience you may have suffered as a result of the cancellation of our show on 4 August 2007.

It was late on Friday night that we discovered that there had been an outbreak of foot and mouth.

The news was devastating to the committee and we reached a decision about midnight that it was in the best interest of everyone connected with the show and the agricultural industry that we cancelled immediately.

The wounds suffered by everyone in the county are still open.

I would like to thank everyone for their support at this difficult time and hope that you will continue to support the show.

God and foot and mouth willing we will all meet again at next years show on 2 August 2008.
